The Mrs.

Kate
Hey everyone, I'm Mrs. Jones, but you can call me Katie. I'm 24 years old and will be turning 25 in September. I'm married to Jonathan and we're newlyweds (05.01.10) living in Georgia with our rambunctious dogs, Jack and Cici, the laziest cat ever, Skeety, and our most adorable wonderbaby, Grayson, who visits every weekend and a week out of every month. I'm an Early Childhood Education major and hope to be a Speech teacher when I graduate, whenever that will be. I can be described as witty, eccentric, outspoken, dependable, and passionate, but there's a lot more to me than meets the eye.

Add a little spice to your life!

Today’s Mama Wish List Giveaway

TodaysMama and GameStop are giving away a sleighful of gifts this holiday season and to enter I’m sharing this meme with you.

1. What is your holiday wish for your family?
To have a happy, safe, and healthy holiday filled with the love and lots of family time! I also hope that Grayson is with us Christmas morning and we all enjoy our first Christmas with Grayson!

2. What is your Christmas morning tradition?
We always wake up and see what Santa has in store for everyone, and then we have a huge family breakfast together.

3. If you could ask Santa for one, completely decadent wish for yourself, what would it be?
Since we are leaving the whole pregnancy thing in God’s hands even though I really wish we would have a child of our own, I’d have to go with a vacation to Italy that includes airfare, a stay at a four-star hotel, and meals at all of the best restaurants in Italy.

4. How do you make the holidays special without spending any money?
Spending quality time with my family and my husband. We always cook lots of sweets and just spend time together watching movies or talking. My younger siblings are entertainment without having to turn a television on, lol.

5. What games did you play with your family growing up?
Monopoly was our all-time favorite, but when it came to a game system, my brother and I seriously kicked butt on Duck Hunt for the Nintendo!!

6. What holiday tradition have you carried on from your own childhood?
Opening presents on Christmas morning followed by a big family breakfast! I also still listen to “Drummer Boy” and dance around the living room since that is what I did with my grandpa every year. That was his all time favorite song.

7. Where would you go for a Christmas-away-from-home trip?
Ukraine since that is where my grandpa was from. I think being there would make me feel closer to him. It’s either there or Paris since my grandma always said she wanted to go to Paris but never had the means to do so.

8. Check out GameStop and tell us, what are the three top items on your GameStop Wish List this year?
Our top items on our GameStop Wish List this year are an XBOX 360 Elite with Kinect, World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, and Call of Duty: Black Ops since my husband cannot stop talking about it!

Exhaustion

This weekend was very exhausting. My best friends stayed Saturday and Sunday night with us and we also had Grayson all weekend as well. Grayson is doing a lot better health wise but we had to give him breathing treatments twice a day. He did okay with the treatments, thankfully. I cannot wait until the big guy is completely better! Breathing problems worry me to no end. I checked on him at least ten times throughout the night. I was just glad he slept the night through.

In other news, I also had to study big time for a history test I took today. I hope I did well on it. This semester has been pretty sucktacular and I know I will be on academic probation thanks to me dropping my math class. I am sorry but I am not going to pay a teacher my tuition money when she gets the problems she is supposed to be teaching us wrong. People should not teach if they cannot teach the material or even know it themselves. I was so irritated and hated going to that class. I actually did better when I did not go to class and worked from home by myself. Now that is quite sad. Hopefully next semester will be a lot better for me!

I had a whole entry planned out but I completely forgot what I had to say. I have been lounging on the couch with Jack and CC so I decided to hop on and check my e-mail. That obviously led me to blogging, heh. So anyways, until next time, later loves!

It’s time to revive

Considering I have not blogged in a while, there is a lot to catch everyone up on. First off, I am currently blogging from my hubby’s and I new place! Yes, we finally decided it was time to spread our wings and get our own place, and I could not be any happier to have my own space in the world. Even though this means that we will not get to go out as often as we have in the past, it is well worth it.

We found us a nice two bedroom, two bathroom apartment that is literally two minutes from my school, ten minutes from hubby’s school, and eight minutes from my mom’s house. How could it get any better than that? Our landlord also allows us to have pets so we brought Jack and Cici along with us. I will definitely post pics of our new place since I am excited to show it off. Even though we moved in over Halloween weekend, we are still unpacking and decorating.

The Monday after Halloween Grayson came over and was sick so that distracted us from unpacking. Over the week, we had to give Grayson breathing treatments around the clock until his mom finally made him a doctor’s appointment on Friday. It turns out that Grayson has asthma and he had to have breathing treatments every three hours for the next twenty-four hours. I assumed he would go home since most moms would want their child home when they were sick, but nope, Grayson came back home with us. It turns out that his mom and her parents griped to have him home and cut our week short but once they found out about treatments every three hours for twenty-four hours they decided their sleep was more important. That is just ridiculous. Jonathan, my mom, and I all took turns giving him his treatment throughout the night. By morning he sounded a little better but was still wheezing when his mom decided to come pick him up. Not even two hours after she picked him up wheezing and all, she sent us a picture of him OUTSIDE playing. Can I also mention that it was in the 40′s and 50′s that day and very cold and windy? Your kid just spent the whole night having breathing treatments nonstop and you decide to take him outside? Am I the only one that has a problem with this? Geez, some people.

Anyways, I am going to end that subject now because it gets me really fired up. I also do not want my blog to turn into a Grayson-only blog but that seems to be the highlights of my days here lately. I had more I wanted to say but I need to print out my three papers I wrote for tonight’s class and get ready to leave for school. So, until next time, later loves!
