The Mrs.

Kate
Hey everyone, I'm Mrs. Jones, but you can call me Katie. I'm 24 years old and will be turning 25 in September. I'm married to Jonathan and we're newlyweds (05.01.10) living in Georgia with our rambunctious dogs, Jack and Cici, the laziest cat ever, Skeety, and our most adorable wonderbaby, Grayson, who visits every weekend and a week out of every month. I'm an Early Childhood Education major and hope to be a Speech teacher when I graduate, whenever that will be. I can be described as witty, eccentric, outspoken, dependable, and passionate, but there's a lot more to me than meets the eye.

Do the Stomp

The stomp is one thing Grayson has recently discovered. He now entertains himself by stomping around the house which I find completely adorable. He especially loves to stomp on my mom’s hardwood floors as it is louder than it would be on carpet. I enjoy watching him stomp around while giggling and laughing hysterically. I actually had a completely blog post ready to go, but then as I sat and watched him I had to blog about it. Oh dear, I really hope I am not becoming a mommy blogger because that is definitely not the kind of blogger I would like to be known for.

Anyways, since the epic snow of 2011 bit Georgia, Jonathan and I have been staying with my mom. Actually, we have not been home in over a week. We plan on going home tomorrow after I visit the grocery store and I could not be more excited. I love my family, but I am looking forward to some quiet time with Jonathan and Grayson since this is our week with Grayson. I do miss the times at my mom’s house but I definitely miss my independence of having my own place. I enjoy staying up however late I want to and doing whatever I want to at a moment’s notice. Not to mention, our pets are out of routine and have had an accident here and there. That definitely annoys me as well. I obviously am trending on the word “definitely” in case you cannot tell by this blog post.

I really wish I had more to say but since I have been secluded to the house most of the past week, there is not much else I can say. I have really enjoyed this down time as my family got a lot closer. This snow week was more like a vacation then the Christmas break I had from school. At least during this week we all could actually enjoy the relaxation time instead of having to frantically run around like a chicken with its head cut off. I also have taken the time to get back into reading since my sister bought me a Kindle. I am in love with it! I have busily been downloading various books over the past few days. I also have played World of Warcraft quite a lot with my sister. Yes, I am readdicted to the game, that is for sure. It is fun to dungeon and level up with my sister since we chat while doing various quests. I have missed my sister and feel like since I moved out we have become more distant than usual. It is also evident to me that my two younger siblings miss me as well. Today is my brother’s 13th birthday and I have spent the day wondering where the time has gone. Where did that blond little towheaded boy go? How can he have been replaced by this confident, cocky, young man? Times do change, that is for sure!

I wish I had more to write about but sadly I have a one year old that needs to get his butt in bed. He has been fighting sleep and usually is in bed by ten but considering it is past two thirty, that obviously is not the story for tonight. Late naps will never happen again for this kid! That was so his daddy’s fault. I have had to explain to Jonathan the importance of a schedule and judging from how he feels now with his son running around, I am sure the lesson has been learned. So with that said, until next time, later loves.
